With their friend, Angus Collins, have successfuly rowed across the Indian Ocean from Australia to Mauritus. They have been raising money for the Enham Trust. The team took 71 days, 14 hours and 15 minutes to row the 3,140 nautical miles and in doing so have broken the numerous records, including the fastest four-man crew to cross the indian ocean and the youngest four-man crew to cross any ocean.

Captained the England Rugby Under-20 team to victory in their defence of their IRB Junior World Championship title. The final match was played at Eden Park, where Itoje's team beat South Africa by 1 point 21-20.

Has rowed across the Atlantic with friend Luke Birch, in the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge. The pair are the youngest to do so and raised over £300,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
